Allen, Flower Mound Marcus staffs to coach police officers, firefighters in charity game
Allen and Flower Mound Marcus’ football staffs will be coaching at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday, but it’s not in 7-on-7, a coaching convention or an early scrimmage.
Tom Westerberg and Bryan Erwin will be on the sidelines to help coach police officers and firefighters in the 2nd annual Guns and Hoses Pigskin Championship. The game, which starts at 6 p.m., benefits the Guns and Hoses foundation — which helps support families of fallen officers and firefighters in North Texas.
It will be a full-fledged game of tackle football, according to Westerberg, and will be the final event in a day that includes tours of the stadium, a mini-clinic for kids, and the Diva Bowl — a flag football game between female officers and firefighters.
Tickets are $30 at the gate, or can be purchased for $25 at ETIX or American Pawn Super Store in Garland.
