Baseball sabermetrics legend Bill James has realized his annual handbook, recounting all the statistics and tidbits baseball nerds love.
One of them? The Rangers were the best baserunning team in the majors last year.
The handbook, via ESPN, had the Rangers with a net gain of 142 runs on the basepaths because of their prowess on things like going first to third, second to home, singles and other bases taken or thrown out.
Texas finished 32 runs ahead of the second-place Diamondbacks.
