The Kansas City Chiefs traded up in the NFL draft to select Texas Longhorns wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the 28th overall pick in Round 1 on Thursday.

Kansas City traded picks 32, 95 and 221 to Buffalo for the 28th, 133rd and 248th overall picks.

Last season, Worthy had 1,014 yards and five touchdowns for a Longhorns team that earned its first College Football Playoff berth. That was good enough to earn him First Team All-Big 12 honors.
