Former Lincoln basketball player Keaton Miles transfers from WVU to Arkansas

Former Lincoln High School basketball player Keaton Miles announced on Twitter this morning that he will be transferring from West Virginia to Arkansas.

"I just feel like I was going to be able to grow more and show my highest potential as a basketball player at Arkansas," Miles said.

During the transferring process, Miles was getting recruited by schools like Mississippi State, Colorado State and Utah but felt Arkansas would be the best fit for him based on a variety of reasons.

"The thing that attracted me the most to Arkansas was just the family atmosphere and Coach [Mike] Anderson's success with Dallas guys like Phil Pressey and, if people don't remember, before Tony Mitchell went to North Texas he had Tony Mitchell signed to Missouri," Miles said.

During his junior year at Lincoln, Miles averaged 13.5 points and 12 rebounds a game. His numbers increased as a senior at Lincoln, where he averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds.
