Former TCA-Addison, Oklahoma State pitcher Jason Hursh selected by Atlanta Braves with 31st pick
Late last night, former TCA-Addison and Oklahoma State pitcher Jason Hursh sent out a meaningful one-word Twitter post:
- Jason Hursh (@Jason_Hursh) June 7, 2013
Hursh was selected by Atlanta with the 31st pick in the MLB draft. As a sophomore at Oklahoma State last season, Hursh was 6-5 with a 2.79 ERA and had 86 strikeouts in 16 starts. It was a strong recovery from the Tommy John surgery that forced Hursh to miss the 2012 season.
Hursh, who in 2010 was the MVP of TAPPS 1-5A, was selected by the Pirates in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. He decided he wasn't ready to play professionally at that point and headed to Oklahoma State.
Things have turned out pretty well, obviously.
