Sulphur Springs 56, Royse City 22

ROYSE CITY - Justin Owens threw for three first-half touchdowns, and Sulphur Springs' defense intercepted five passes - returning two for scores - in a District 13-4A victory over Royse City (3-7, 3-3).

Owens connected with Alvin Frazier for a 69-yard touchdown on the first offensive play for Sulphur Springs (8-2, 5-1). Both teams advanced to the Class 4A Division II playoffs next week. Sulphur Springs faces Jacksonville, and Royse City will play Whitehouse in Lindale.
