Richardson 21, Samuell 14

RICHARDSON - Jordan Booty's 55-yard touchdown run with 1:58 left was the difference in a Richardson win at Eagle-Mustang Stadium.

Richardson and Samuell were tied at 14-14 for more than two quarters of play when Booty broke free up the middle for the go-ahead score.

Booty rushed for 150 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead Richardson, ranked No. 16 in The News' Class 5A area poll.

Richardson (5-1, 2-1 District 9-5A) scored first when Miles Jackson found Booty for a 34-yard touchdown pass.

Samuell (3-3, 1-2) answered with a 6-yard touchdown run by Deryante Mcgee.

Richardson regained the lead in the second quarter when Booty scored from 4 yards out. Samuell's Devontrae "Tre" Smith broke a 25-yard touchdown run to knot the score at 14-14 at halftime.
