Richardson Pearce 38, McKinney 28
Richardson Pearce (4-4, 3-2) overcame the loss of its starting quarterback to beat McKinney (3-5, 2-3), 38-28.
Quarteback Mac Morse threw for 206 yard before leaving with an injury. Tim Llewellyn came on in relief, held the lead and threw for two scores. The last of those was a 21-yard fourth-down strike to Corey Coleman to seal the victory.
Travis Tarver II led the McKinney offense with 16 carries for 139 yards. He also scored two touchdowns, including an 83-yard rumble in the second quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Pearce took a delay of game penalty when they were distracted by the crowd's roar after the final score of the Texas Rangers game was announced.
