Mansfield Summit 56, Joshua 6

JOSHUA - Xavier Williams threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another to lead Summit (6-1, 4-0 District 7-4A) over Joshua (0-7, 0-4) at Owl Stadium.

Summit drove 80 yards in six plays on its first possession, capped by a 50-yard touchdown run by Williams. Summit made it 14-0 on Lewis Washington's 11-yard run on its next possession.

In the second quarter, Williams connected with Jaylon Singleton on a 28-yard scoring strike and then hit Donovan Ellis from 46 yards away to make it 28-0.

Williams' third touchdown pass of the quarter came with 18 seconds left in the half when he hooked up with Washington from 5 yards out.

Williams was 10-of-11 for the game with 159 yards passing.

Joshua's lone score came on a 32-yard run by quarterback Riley Davis, who finished with 129 yards rushing on 16 carries.
