Wichita Falls Rider 35, Little Elm 14

LITTLE ELM - Deron Royster rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns Friday as Wichita Falls Rider avenged a loss in its final district road game of 2009 with a big win in its District 4-4A opener at Little Elm.

The Lobos (3-2) had earned a surprising playoff berth with a 10-7 win over Rider late last season, but Little Elm fell behind early as Royster scored on an 81-yard run. Royster put the game away late in the fourth quarter with a 7-yard touchdown run to cap a drive of more than 6 1/2 minutes.

Sophomore Devonte Pullum had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run, both in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter, as Little Elm charged back from 21-0 to get within a touchdown.

Blake Brom had two interceptions for Rider.
