Azle 56, Keller Timber Creek 21

AZLE - Azle (2-4, 1-2) rolled up 488 yards to post its first District 5-4A victory by defeating Timber Creek (3-3, 0-3). Azle's Zach Wood intercepted a pass on the second play of the game and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown. It was the start of a 42-point first-half barrage by Azle that kept Timber Creek from earning its first district win in school history.

Azle quarterback Cody Alexander completed 8 of 11 attempts for 207 yards, including two touchdown passes in two quarters of work. Alexander also scored on a 48-run in the second quarter.
