Plano Prestonwood 69, John Paul II 14
Parker Ash passed for 250 yards and three touchdowns to fuel Prestonwood's blowout of John Paul II on Friday night.
Ash's first scoring strike, a 62-yard bomb in the second quarter, was hauled in by Brandon Henry on a spectacular one-handed catch-and-run that gave Prestonwood a 14-point cushion. Henry then followed with a 15-yard touchdown catch less than eight minutes later to push the Lions lead to 42-14 at halftime.
Running back Kenneth Huggins sliced through the John Paul defense for 151 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns, though he only carried 14 times.
