RICHARDSON -- Jesuit (4-3; 3-1) scored 24 unanswered points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to pull away from Richardson (5-2; 2-2) in front of Richardson's homecoming crowd in a District 9-5A matchup.

After Richardson's Andrew Buckmeier kicked a 43-yard field goal to open the scoring in the second quarter, Jesuit went on a 78-yard, 10-play drive capped by a David Kaplan 1-yard touchdown plunge. As time expired in the first half James Hairston kicked a 37 yard field goal to expand the lead to 10-3.

After another Kaplan touchdown run, Jesuit's Jeff Schoettmer blocked a Richardson punt and teammate Tucker Rice picked up the loose ball and ran 13 yards for another touchdown stretching Jesuit's lead to 24-3.

Jesuit quarterback Mike Savage had 204 yards passing and 70 yards rushing including a 12-yard touchdown run late in the 4th quarter to put the game out of reach.

Jesuit's Jake Oliver had 9 catches for 99 yards.

Richardson's Torrance Carr led all rushers with 102 yards. Carr also passed for 84 yards and caught 2 passes.
