Haltom 28, Irving Nimitz 27

Aaron Shockey threw two touchdown passes just 32 seconds apart in the fourth quarter as Haltom rallied for a victory over Irving Nimitz.

Haltom (2-2, 1-1 District 6-5A) was down 27-14 with 2:49 left in the game after Everado Reyes kicked a 24-yard field goal for Nimitz (2-3, 0-3). But Shockey quickly hooked up with Will Adams from 23 yards out for their second scoring pass of the second half.

Haltom then recovered an onside kick, and 32 seconds later, Shockey found Corey Velasquez open in the end zone to tie the score at 27. Jose Rodriguez booted the game-winning extra point.
