GARLAND - Garland (6-3, 4-2 10-5A) kept its playoff hopes alive by defeating Naaman Forest at Williams Stadium.

Garland scored all its points in the first half. Jordan Spencer, who rushed for 154 yards on 22 carries, scored the first touchdown on a 19-yard run midway through the first quarter.

Seth Russell and receiver Kendre Bridges hooked up on two scoring plays, a 25-yard strike in the first quarter and a 17-yard fade route with three seconds left in the half.

Tank Mitchell rushed for 137 yards on 25 carries for Naaman (2-7, 1-5).
