Ricky Moon - Special Contributor Southlake Carroll vs. Arlington Bowie/ Coppell’s Buddy Echols Stadium/ Carroll (9-1) has rolled to nine straight wins after dropping its opener at home to Allen. The Dragons were challenged a few weeks ago by district runner-up Keller Fossil Ridge, 31-27. Junior quarterback Ryan Agnew called the tight game a much-needed test heading into the playoffs. Bowie (7-3), on the other hand, has stumbled down the stretch, losing two straight. Bowie looked flat in a 47-18 loss to Arlington Martin in Week 10. A reason for the performance, however, might have been the absence of all-everything junior Tony James. Back this week, James should be a force. Prediction: Southlake Carroll 49, Arlington Bowie 35
John F. Rhodes - Special Contributor Sachse vs. Mesquite/ Rockwall’s Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium/ Kent Myers has led Sachse (10-0) to a number of firsts, including its first district title and first undefeated regular season. The big question heading into the playoffs will be Myers’ mobility.
