EULESS - Colleyville Covenant Christian Academy (8-2 overall) scored on its first three possessions and rolled to a 46-0 win over McKinney Christian on Saturday afternoon at Pennington Field.

Quarterback Chase Stewart threw touchdown passes of 63 yards to receiver Ryan Taunton and 55 yards to receiver Trey Jackson in the opening quarter. For the game, Stewart completed 14 of 22 passes for 304 yards and four scores. He passed for 268 yards in the first half. Three players had more than 100 yards receiving yards for Covenant.

The Cougars dominated MCA, which ended its season at 3-8, defensively, allowing just 113 yards (25 rushing) while collecting five sacks. McKinney Christian running back Jake Gattuso carried 14 times for 31 yards.

Covenant will face Bryan Brazos Academy on Saturday in Groesbeck.
