Colleyville Heritage 30, Hurst L.D. Bell 7

GRAPEVINE - The first snap of the game was mishandled by L.D. Bell quarterback James Mauro and recovered by Ramsey Robinson in the end zone for a Colleyville Heritage touchdown. Bell never recovered from the early miscue.

Heritage (7-2, 6-1 District 6-5A) followed up on their early score with a 38-yard Israel DePlaza field goal, and had a difficult time getting untracked until Jeff Calvert hit Trent Dennington on a 42-yard touchdown pass with 3:04 left in the first half. Calvert also completed a 39-yard touchdown pass to Montel Garner to give Heritage a 23-0 lead at the half.

Bell (6-4, 4-3) got on the board on a 39-yard pass from Kyle Romano to Denelra Dorsett. Heritage responded with a 10-play drive capped by a 13-yard touchdown run by Calvert to round out the scoring.

Both teams have clinched playoff berths. Heritage closes their regular season next week at Haltom. Bell has a bye next week.
