Cedar Hill 62, Grand Prairie 7

CEDAR HILL -- Cedar Hill scored on seven of its eight first-half posessions as it rolled over Grand Prairie, 62-7, in a District 5-5A game.

Cedar Hill improves to (4-2, 3-0) as it was lead by quarterback Driphus Jackson who passed for 249 yards on 15-of-19 passing.

Wide receiver Lovett Gibson led the Longhorns with six catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns. His first came on an 18 yarder in the first quarter, and then he caught an 11 yard pass near the end of the first half.

Shelton Jones also caught two touchdown passes, one a 10 yard pass in the first quarter and the other a 13 yard pass in the third quarter.

Cedar Hill running back John Albercrombie rushed for 31 yards and scored two touchdowns, a 13 yard run to open his team's scoring and then a 12 yard run in the second quarter.

Grand Prairie (2-4, 0-3) was led by quarterback Tommy Alvarez as he threw for 92 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown was a 71-yard pass to Patrick Palmer in the first quarter.
