Kennedale 74, Carrollton Ranchview 10

CARROLLTON - John Watkins rushed for a game-high 135 yards on six carries - including touchdown runs of 61, 47, and 17 yards - and Steven Rivera ran for two scores and passed for another to lead Kennedale (4-1) to a 74-10 rout of Carrollton Ranchview (0-5) at Standridge Stadium.

Ranked fifth in 3A by SportsDay, Kennedale's offense scored every time it had the ball and Brett Wade returned a fumble 23 yards to make it 41-0 at halftime. Tony Sabando, who ranked second among SportsDay's 3A rushing leaders, added 116 yards on just six carries for Kennedale, which amassed 431 yards on the ground. Cody Coleman ran for a 40-yard TD and returned a fumble 90 yards for a score in the fourth quarter for Kennedale. while Cesar Robles also scored twice on a 41-yard pass from Rivera and a 28-yard end around.

The highlights of the game for Ranchview were Chris Wimby's 94-yard kickoff return for a score in the third quarter and Marcus Wimby rushing for 115 yards and passing for 63.
