Frisco Wakeland 31, Carrollton Creekview 17

FRISCO - Tyler Kirkindoll threw for 241 yards and accounted for three touchdowns as Frisco Wakeland (7-1, 5-0) became the first team in District 9-4A to secure a playoff spot with a 31-17 victory over Carrollton Creekview (2-6, 2-3) at Frisco ISD Memorial Stadium.

Kirkindoll threw touchdown passes to Brad Sicula and Dylan Walls, and also rushed for another score. Starting in place of the injured David Robason, who is out for the season with a knee injury, Devaughn Childress rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown.

His 7-yard score in the third quarter gave Wakeland a 24-7 lead after Creekview fumbled on the first play of the second half.

Miquan Robinson threw for 236 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort. Twelve of his 19 completions went to Jordan Funches, who finished with a game-high 121 receiving yards.
