Birdville 24, Fort Wotth Boswell 21

FORT WORTH - Fort Worth Boswell's Cole Parton missed a game-tying 40-yard field goal attempt as time expired Friday night, giving Birdville a come-from-behind win.

With under three minutes remaining in the game, Birdville quarterback Tyler Skaggs found Nate Perkins down the middle for 64 yards for the winning score.

After a scoreless first quarter, Birdville (6-2, 4-1 District 5-4A) struck first as Tyler Klutts, who finished with 141 yards on 20 carries, ran one in from a yard out to give Birdville the 7-0 lead.

Boswell (4-4, 3-2) quickly recovered on its next drive, as Rashard Wilson scampered in from 7 yards out to tie the game at 7-7. After a defensive stop, Boswell took the lead to the half as quarterback Jacob Stone found Devin Duke from 19 yards out. Stone completed 29 of 46 passes for 387 yards. Duke's reception was one of eight on the night, as he finished with 86 yards receiving.

Trailing 14-7 to start the third, Klutts found paydirt for the second time of the night, this time from 3 yards. But Boswell again quickly answered the score, as Stone connected with Caden Macneill to give Boswell a 21-14 lead after three quarters.
