Girls basketball player of the week (2/18): Frisco Liberty’s Bria Frierson
What she did: In Frisco Liberty’s two playoff wins, Frierson had 44 points and 21 rebounds. In a bi-district win against Carrollton Creekview on Monday, she scored 21 points and added five rebounds. Friday, she scored 23 points and had 16 rebounds as Frisco Liberty beat Bryan Adams, 62-35, to advance to the 4A regional quarterfinals.
Who is she? A 6-0 junior forward
The stats: Frierson is averaging 12.1 points and 8.0 rebounds.
She said it: “I think it was actually all of us working as a team together that really made us be who we were, and just getting the ball in the paint.”
Coach said it: Frierson is “one of the hardest workers and just extremely unselfish. I think that’s what’s so unique about her and a couple of others on the team, but her especially.
