Volleyball spotlight: Sara Mossakowski, Junior, Frisco Centennial, Outside hitter

Update: Mossakowski notched 21 kills and three aces while playing with a heavily-taped hitting hand Thursday to help Centennial overcome an 0-2 deficit and defeat Frisco Wakeland in a tiebreaker match for the district title.

Role models: Mossakowski has two older brothers, Kyle, 26, and Ryan, 20. Kyle played defensive end at Howard Payne University and Ryan is a quarterback at Kentucky. Sara said she gets plenty of questions on how Ryan is doing in Lexington but said she doesn't mind. "I love talking about my brother," she said. "He's such an inspiration to me."

Reality TV: The junior said whenever she does has free time, she just likes to relax. And that means watching reality television. "That's my weakness," she said. Mossakowski said here favorite reality shows are America's Next Top Model and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Juggler: Mossakowski said that most don't know she can juggle. "My two older brothers learned, and then I didn't want to be the odd man out," she said. Mossakowski has been juggling since here freshman year and can juggle "pretty much anything" but no more than three items at a time. She said she does it most often around the house when she is bored.
