BOYS FIRST TEAM
Members (in racing order): Bryson Echols, Don’tre Wilson, Tremayne Acy, Ridge Jones
At state meet: Posted nation’s fastest time, winning 5A title with a time of 40.09 seconds.
At state meet: Third in the 5A 100 (10.41 seconds), and ran on DeSoto’s gold medal-winning relay in the 4x100.
Notable: Acy ranked third in the area in the 100.
FW SOUTHWEST, JR.
At state meet: Won 4A 200 title (21.06 seconds) and ran anchor on title-winning 4x100 (40.90 seconds), and silver-winning 4x200 (1:25.45)
Notable: Rhodes set a state record with eight TD catches in a game.
MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW, SR.
At the state meet: Won second straight 5A title in the 400 (45.92 seconds), and helped Timberview finish third in the 4x100 relay (40.70 seconds) and 4x400 relay (3:14.66).
Notable: Aldrich set a national record in the 400 at the 5A Region I meet (45.19 seconds).
At state meet: Won 3A title in the 400 (47.27 seconds), and helped state champ Celina to title in the 4x400 relay (3:16.03), and second in the 4x100 relay (41.41 seconds).
Notable: Bilderback was the defensive MVP of District 10-3A in football.
JUSTIN NORTHWEST, SR.
At state meet: Second in 5A 3,200 (9:05.07), third in 1,600 (4:10:50).
Notable: Taylor had the area’s fastest time in the 1,600 and 3,200.
FRISCO LIBERTY, SR.
At state meet: Fourth in 4A in the 1,600 (4:16.91) and fifth in the 3,200 (9:22.31).
Notable: Turnbull ranked in the area’s top seven in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200.
MANSFIELD SUMMIT, SR.
At state meet: Won 4A 300 hurdles (37.08), fourth in 110 hurdles (13.97).
Notable: Black’s time of 36.73 seconds was the fastest in the state.
BRYAN ADAMS, SR.
At state meet: Won 4A 110 hurdles (13.79).
Notable: Grace’s regional-winning time of 13.70 was state’s fastest.
At state meet: Third in 5A discus (171-0), ninth in shot put (52-111/2).
Notable: Bartlett set a district-meet shot put record, with a throw of 57-3.
At state meet: Won 3A discus (185-9) and shot put (62-111/4) while recovering from an ACL tear suffered in football.
Notable: Roos signed with Purdue for football and track. He was a four-year state medalist in shot put.
At state meet: Won 3A high jump (6-8).
Notable: McCloud lost the 2011 3A title in a jump-off less than three months after his first jump.
FW NOLAN, SR.
At state meet: Won TAPPS 5A high jump (6-4) for second straight season.
Notable: McSwain won every competition he entered. His season-best high jump of 6 feet, 10 inches was the area’s best and 19th in the nation.
At state meet: Fourth, 5A pole vault (16-3).
Notable: Sonnen’s vault in the state meet ranked sixth in the state and 15th in the nation.
MCKINNEY BOYD, JR.
At state meet: Third, 5A long jump (23-3).
Notable: First athlete from McKinney Boyd to place at state, Wilson also set the school triple jump record at the 5A Region II tournament.
GIRLS FIRST TEAM
MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW’S 4x400
Members (in racing order): Jazmine Warden, Briana Adams, Kaitlyn Williams, Kristyn Williams
At state meet: Won 5A title (3:40.51), running the nation’s fastest time by more than two seconds.
CARR. NEWMAN SMITH, SR.
At state meet: Won 4A titles in 200 (23.87 seconds) and 400 (52.40), setting a state record in the 400. Also helped Newman Smith to 4A 4x400 relay title (3:47.11).
Notable: Okolo’s state-winning time in the 400 ranked second in the nation.
FLOWER MOUND, SR.
At state meet: Second in 5A 200 (24.12) and third in 100 (11.74).
Notable: Adeyemi’s season-best time in the 200 (23.82 seconds) is ranked third in the area.
MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW, SR.
At state meet: Second in 5A 400 (53.95 seconds) and 800 (2:10.99), and ran the anchor leg on Timberview’s state-winning 4x400 relay.
Notable: Williams won 4A titles in 400 and 800 as a freshman.
At state meet: Third in 5A 800 (2:11.79), and helped Skyline finish sixth in 4x400 relay (3:46.28).
Notable: Brooks’ time at state ranked as the sixth-fastest in the state.
SOUTHLAKE CARROLL, JR.
At state meet: Won 5A 1,600 (4:53.43).
Notable: UIL cross country runner-up.
At state meet: Won SPC titles in the 1,600 (5:05.92) and 3,200 (11:10.28).
Notable: Season-best times in the 1,600 (4:56.55) and 3,200 (10:44.74) ranked second in the area.
CARR. CREEKVIEW, SR.
At state meet: Won 4A 100 hurdles (13.92) and 300 hurdles (41.65).
Notable: State-winning 300 hurdles time ranked fifth in the nation.
At state meet: Second in 4A 100 hurdles (14.14) and 300 hurdles (41.72).
Notable: District-winning 300 hurdles time (41.57) was fourth in the nation.
MANSFIELD LEGACY, SR.
At state meet: Won 5A shot put (50-11/4) and discus (187-10), breaking state discus mark by 24 feet, 4 inches.
Notable: Set national record in discus at the Texas Relays (191-6).
MANSFIELD LEGACY, SR.
At state meet: Fifth in 5A in shot put (40-71/2) and discus (150-2).
Notable: Taylor was a state qualifier in discus in 2011 and shot in 2010.
At state meet: Won 4A triple jump (40-51/4) and long jump (18-101/2).
Notable: Richardson won five 4A state medals during her high school career.
At state meet: Won third consecutive 3A pole vault, breaking 3A record with a vault of 13 feet, one inch.
Notable: Johnson’s regional-winning vault (13-6) was nation’s best.
At state meet: Won second straight TAPPS 5A high jump (5-4) as well as the 300 hurdles. Won five medals total.
Notable: Season-best high jump (5-9) ranked 15th in the nation.
FW BOSWELL, JR.
At state meet: Won 4A pole vault (13-3), tying 4A record.
Notable: Her state-winning vault ranked third in the nation.
