Carrollton Ranchview 26, Canton 13

CARROLLTON — Dominique Carter rushed for 77 yards and two scores as Carrollton Ranchview defeated Canton, 26-13, on Thursday night in a game called because of lightning in the first half.

The nondistrict game at Standridge Stadium was stopped with 9:17 remaining in the second quarter. The teams agreed that the result would be official.

Ranchview (3-1) scored touchdowns on four of its five possessions.

Canton (0-4) took the opening kickoff and marched 55 yards in seven plays for a touchdown, on an 8-yard pass from Chandler Eiland to Garrett Denbow.

Ranchview answered with a 70-yard drive, with Carter scoring on a 14-yard run. Ranchview scored on drives of 59 and 45 yards on its next two possessions and led 20-6 late in the first quarter. Brandon Glenn recovered a fumble in the end zone for a second-quarter touchdown.

Ranchview gained 210 total yards in only 18 plays. Wadley ran for 71 yards and a score and accounted for 94 total yards.

Adamson 21, Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis 8

Adamson scored three touchdowns in a span of 5:34 in the first quarter in a game called at halftime because of lightning. The result was declared official.

Diamond Hill trailed by 13 at the half despite outgaining Adamson 176-145. Diamond Hill was led by Tim Robinson, who rushed 13 times for 135 yards and the team’s only touchdown, on a 56-yard run in the second quarter.

Adamson opened a 21-0 lead, getting its first score on its second play from scrimmage — a 52-yard pass from Darian Guess to Demarcus Kelly.

After a Diamond Hill fumble at its 42, Adamson needed four plays to score again, on a 2-yard run from Carlos Gomez. The final score of the quarter came on a 33-yard run by Kelly after Diamond Hill couldn’t handle the fourth-and-1 snap at its 34-yard line.

Coppell vs. Garland (Canceled)

GARLAND — The nondistrict game at Williams Stadium was called after a 45-minute delay as strong storms moved through the area.

Coppell (3-0) had a 10-0 lead over Garland (0-3) with 40 seconds left in the first quarter when play was halted.

Bishop Lynch vs. Garland Lakeview Centennial (Canceled)

GARLAND — Bishop Lynch and Garland Lakeview Centennial took two hours and 20 minutes to play one quarter of football. The game was called on account of weather at the end of the first quarter, with Bishop Lynch leading, 14-0.The teams had agreed that if they did not play the entire game, they would declare it "no contest."

With barely a minute gone in the game, Termel Glasper took a short pass in the left flat from Barrett Renner, eluded a tackler and raced 90 yards to give Bishop Lynch the early lead. The faced third-and-19 on the play.The lightning came five minutes later, and the game was delayed for lightning strikes in the area.

When play resumed, more than an hour later, Renner connected with Nick Martinez from 18 yards out, and three minutes later the game was called off.

Waxahachie vs. Corsicana (Canceled)

WAXAHACHIE — Waxahachie led Corsicana 20-15 with 5:59 left in the second quarter when the game was stopped because of lightning. It was called off after a 45-minute delay.

The game will not be made up, Corsicana superintendent Diane Davis Frost said.
