TYLER — Jose Perez kicked a 17-yard field goal with one second remaining as Tyler John Tyler defeated Lancaster, 31-28, on Saturday.

John Tyler (1-1) took over at its own 20 with 3:09 left, and quarterback Geovari McCollister directed a nine-play, 79-yard drive, completing all six passes on the drive. Lancaster (0-2) scored 21 straight points in the third quarter to take a 28-22 lead.

FORT WORTH — Woodrow Wilson (2-0) stopped four two-point conversion attempts in the second half, including one with 2:22 left, to beat Eastern Hills. Woodrow Wilson tailback Tracey James ran for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
