Cedar Hill wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo commits to Mississippi
After backing away from a Texas A&M commitment when he felt it wasn’t the right situation, Cedar Hill wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo couldn’t back away from a chance to play in the SEC.
Adeboyejo, No. 36 on the current SportsDayHS Area Top 100, announced Friday night via Twitter his plans to pledge to Mississippi.
“I planned on announcing on the 29th but why wait when you know where you need to be? Ole Miss is home,” Adeboyejo tweeted while on an official visit to Oxford, Miss.
The 6-3, 175-pound receiver chose the Rebels over offers from Nebraska, TCU, Texas Tech, UCLA and others.
He’s the third Top 100 Dallas/Fort Worth-area recruit to pledge to Mississippi, joining Skyline quarterback Devante Kincade and Plano Prestonwood tight end Christian Morgan.
He was a key cog in Cedar Hill’s offense, helping his team to the 5A Division II final. Adeboyejo caught 91 passes for 1,265 yards and 17 TDs, all team highs.
