Week 3 private schools roundup: Run-heavy offense carries Cistercian to victory
IRVING — Dare Odeyingbo rushed for three touchdowns and 217 yards to lead Cistercian to a 39-14 victory over Greenhill.
By the end of the first quarter, Odeyingbo had 103 yards in the run-heavy offense. Cistercian (3-1, 1-1) led 15-0 at that point and never looked back.
Noah Montgomery passed for one touchdown and rushed for another for Greenhill (0-4, 0-2).
Jacob Young and Matthew Imaizumi both caught touchdown passes for Cistercian.
Quarterback Thomas Fitts came off the bench to pass for 254 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning strike to Winston Guillory with 1:24 to play, to rally Episcopal School of Dallas (2-2, 1-1).
