Cedar Hill's Jared Rayford out with knee sprain
Cedar Hill senior running back Jared Rayford did not play during Saturday night’s 40-21 loss to Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington.
Rayford suffered a knee sprain last week against Allen, and coach Joey McGuire said he wasn’t sure when the talented running back would return.
Laquvionte Gonzalez ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Damion Hobbs carried the ball 16 times for 79 yards.
McGuire said Rayford’s absence noticeably affected the offense.
Rayford had carried the ball 17 times for 216 yards before his injury.
Cedar Hill faces DeSoto in a game that could very well determine the District 7-5A champion next weekend.
