FORT WORTH — Crowley held off a furious second-half rally from crosstown rival North Crowley for its first win of the year.
Crowley scored on all four possessions in the second quarter and held North Crowley to 56 yards in the first half.
In the second half, North Crowley’s offense woke up, piling up nearly 300 yards in the second half, but it wouldn’t be enough.
Cistercian 42, Arlington Pantego Christian 17
IRVING — Dare Obeyingbo rushed for two touchdowns, and quarterback Matthew Merrick passed for two more as Cistercian defeated Arlington Pantego Christian on Saturday.
Cistercian, the No. 5 team in SportsDay’s Small Private Schools Rankings, overcame a slow first half in which it had -1 yard of offense. But Cistercian scored 35 of its 42 points in the second half.
Special teams also played a vital role for Cistercian, including a blocked punt and a fumble recovery on a kickoff.

Jay Foster rushed for 222 yards and four touchdowns to lead Ferris. Javaughn Thurmon ran for a touchdown and had a TD reception.
Krum 35, Farmersville 33
FARMERSVILLE — Krum (2-0) stopped a two-point conversion attempt with five seconds left, then recovered an onside kick to seal a victory over Farmersville (1-1).
Krum dominated on the ground, as quarterback Caz Wojiciak and running back Reed Flores combined for 219 yards.
