Trophy Club Byron Nelson finished second in the Class 4A Region I golf championship. Major Monzingo placed second overall with a 36-hole total of 141 as the Byron Nelson team qualified for state.
Granbury took fifth place overall, led by medalist Travis Benson, who shot a 139 at Diamondback Golf Club in Abilene.
The Mansfield Black team won the 5A Region I championship in Lubbock. Keller came in second to qualify for state. Allen's Justin Newby qualified as an individual with a 71.
