SPC roundup: Greenhill boys win volleyball title; St. Mark's, Hockaday second in cross country

Greenhill got a resounding win against St. Mark's on Friday, sweeping its rival in front of its home crowd for its second SPC championship in boys volleyball in the last three years. St. Mark's was the defending SPC champion but fell to Greenhill, which finished the season undefeated in conference play.

On the girls side, Fort Worth All Saints fell in five to Austin St. Stephens after erasing a 0-2 deficit in the Division I championship match. Episcopal School of Dallas lost to Austin St. Andrew's, 3-1, in the Division II title match.

Hockaday finished second in the girls team standings, and St. Mark's took second on the boys side. The area runners with the best individual finishes were Schaffer Ochstein of ESD (second in the boys race) and Jackie Choucair of Hockaday (second in the girls race).

Greenhill's Chelsey Sveinsson, one of the top runners in the area, missed some of the spring and the entire summer because of injury and only returned to running recently. She finished sixth, running 19:53 for five kilometers.
