Brandi Smith of Rowlett made headlines last week as the Dallas-Fort Worth area's first wheelchair athlete to compete at the UIL state track and field meet.
Reporter David Just took the time to video her 100-meter wheelchair race, one of several events she competed in. She took third place in seated shot put, and fourth place in the 100.
