Former Prestonwood Christian star Zach Peters is done with basketball for medical reasons
Back in 2008, when Zach Peters was in eighth grade, he was rated by the Hoop Scoop recruiting service as the nation's top basketball player in the Class of 2012. Peters was only 14 years old, but he was 6-9 and 220 pounds and was a skilled player.
Six years later, Peters is done with college basketball.
After spending his freshman year at Kansas but sitting out after multiple concussions, he transferred to Arizona. Last week, the former Plano Prestonwood Christian announced that he won't be playing basketball anymore.
Actually, Arizona announced it. From the Arizona Daily Star story:
UA said Peters will remain on scholarship, but will end his basketball career as a result of a medical exemption filed by the university.
Peters played sparingly for the Wildcats last year. He had only 31 minutes of game action and didn't score a point. More details.
