Rockwall guard Austin Grandstaff announces commitment to Ohio State

Rockwall junior guard Austin Grandstaff announced through his Twitter account Sunday afternoon that he has committed to Ohio State.

The 6-5 Grandstaff averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists this season. He helped Rockwall, which went 0-12 in district a year ago, to a second-place finish in 12-5A. He was later named the district MVP.

Grandstaff is the 30th-ranked recruit in the class of 2015, according to Rivals. He was named to SportsDay’s All-Area first-team in March.

Grandstaff chose Ohio State over offers from Arizona, Georgetown, Oklahoma and SMU.
