Baseball player of the week (4/7): Allen's Kyler Murray

What he did: In Allen’s two wins over McKinney this week, Murray went 5-for-7 with five runs, four RBIs, two home runs, one walk and a double. He hit both home runs Friday and added a double and a walk to a 3-for-3 day as Allen rolled to a 12-0 victory.
Who is he? A junior second baseman.
The stats: This season, Murray has a .451 batting average, with five doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 26 RBIs, 14 stolen bases and 24 runs.
He said it: “The first at-bat I walked. The second at-bat, it was at my eyes. … It was about neck high. I was in the zone. 3-1, I knew what was coming, the pitch. It [home run] had to happen.”
