Plano West hockey team finishes third at nationals

The state champion Plano West hockey team finished third at last week's national tournament in Omaha, Neb. Plano West went 4-1 at nationals, losing 4-2 to Providence Catholic (Ill.) in the semifinals.

Reed Tarter had a team-high 11 points, with seven goals and four assists, and Ronald Jewell had seven goals and two assists. For the goalies, Lane Miller was 3-1 and Sam Solomon was 1-0.
