Smith: I wouldn't be surprised if Allen Stadium problem leads to long legal battle

On what you're reaction was to the indefinite closing of Allen's $60-million football stadium because of extensive cracking in the concrete of the stadium's concourse:

Sherrington: "Apparently they should have spent $70 million I guess. 80, 90? I don't know what it took … It's really embarrassing though because this was such a controversial, the fact that they spent $60 million on it. They're getting buried across the country. People are talking about, 'there's whack jobs out in Texas who are spending all this kind of money on a football stadium,' which I thought was a little over the top to get that kind of criticism, but now for this to happen on top of that, it just really is unfortunate for the people in Allen."

Smith: "As someone, my parents were both administrators at public schools, I know how sometime these constructions go sideways. I would not be surprised to see this in a long, protracted legal battle, and this just happens sometimes when you're building big projects like high schools and stadiums."
