Allen to host Hoover at 2016 Landry Classic in clash of national football powerhouses
Allen and Hoover (Ala.) will play each other in August 2016 in the annual Tom Landry Classic.
"In high school football, that's a long time away. But we're excited about it," Allen head football coach Tom Westerberg said.
A tweet from Hoover's football program shows the early excitement for the matchup between two well-known national football powers.

Allen, the back-to-back Texas 5A Div. I state champion, will host the game at its $60 million Eagle Stadium. During the Landry Classic, Allen has a 7-1 all-time record in the Landry Class, with its only loss coming in 2006 against Garland.
Hoover started gaining national attention in 2006 when it became the subject of the MTV reality series Two-A-Days, which followed the Hoover Bucs' football team and fans through the trials and tribulations of a high school season.
