Jerry Levias, first black Southwest Conference football player, to enter Texas High School Football Hall of Fame

Jerry Levias, a graduate of Beaumont's now closed Hebert High School and SMU alumnus will be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in May.

Other notable names on the list include Stephenville alum Kendal Briles (son of Baylor head coach Art Briles) and UIL executive director Dr. Charles Breithaupt.
