Lincoln receiver and Texas Longhorns recruit Emanuel Porter 'feeling good' about hiring of Strong

Lincoln's Emanuel Porter, who is the top-rated receiver on the area recruiting list (and No. 21 overall), said he's excited about the hiring of Charlie Strong as Texas' football coach.

Texas made it official Sunday, announcing that the Louisville coach would replace Mack Brown.

Porter (6-5, 180) originally committed to TCU in 2012 but switched to Texas in June. He had 40 receptions for 651 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

"I'm feeling good about it," he said of the hiring of Strong. "I know that he had two good years at Louisville."

TCU has been in contact since Brown's resignation, Porter said, but he's planning to play for Strong and the burnt orange.
