Cedar Hill star WR DaMarkus Lodge gets rolling in second half of Cedar Hill's 34-24 win over Katy
Cedar Hill star receiver DaMarkus Lodge only touched the ball three times in the first half - on two short passes and a 42-yard run on a direct snap. But the junior was key to the Longhorns' comeback in the second half.
On a fourth-and-2 in the third quarter, Lodge ran 62 yards on a direct snap to cut Katy's lead to 24-16. He later caught a 4-yard touchdown pass to give Cedar Hill the lead back for good with 6:02 left. With the two-point conversion, Cedar Hill led, 27-24.
Lodge finished with 22 touchdown receptions this season, the most in the Dallas area. He was named the game's Offensive MVP. He had three rushes for 104 yards and five receptions for 26 yards.
