The Cotton Bowl doesn't get used for a lot of high school football games, but next week it will be the site of a good playoff matchup.
The winner of Allen and Lake Highlands will take on the winner of Garland and Mesquite Horn at the Cotton Bowl. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.
"It's a nostalgic place with a lot of history and great tradition," Horn coach Mike Overton said. "There have been a lot of really good players play there."
In addition to games being played at the Cotton Bowl, there will also be a pretty full slate of games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
