Highland Park, Plano West return to state team tennis tournament

The Highland Park and Plano West team tennis squads will return to the state tournament next week.

Highland Park (20-0) is on a 127-match winning streak and will be looking for its 10th title in 11 years. It will face San Antonio Alamo Heights in the semifinals, the same team it shut out in last season's championship. If Highland Park wins it will face the winner between Montgomery and Lubbock High for the 4A state title.

Plano West (19-4) will face unbeaten and defending state champion New Braunfels (20-0) in the 5A semifinals. The winner will face either Houston Memorial or El Paso Coronado for the 5A championship.
