Mack Brown weighs in on Aledo bullying complaint
The shock waves following Aledo's 91-0 blowout victory against Fort Worth Western Hills on Friday night that resulted in a bullying complaint continue to ripple across the nation. Media outlets from ESPN to the Today Show have picked up the story.
The latest to weigh in on the beatdown? Texas coach Mack Brown. He was asked about the controversy, as it pertains to tough coaching decisions when your team is blasting its opponent, at his weekly press conference Wednesday. From Big 12 reporter Chuck Carlton's Twitter feed:
A quick refresher, Brown led the Longhorns to a 70-3 blowout against Colorado in '05 on their way to a Rose Bowl victory against USC. Texas led 42-3 against the Buffaloes at halftime, adding four more unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter.
Brown went on to talk about his impressions of Aledo coach Tim Buchanan:
That's high praise from Brown. And it confirms the official decision from Aledo ISD this afternoon, that no bullying charges will be handed down due to the lopsided victory.
