Four players are still averaging more than 10 yards per carry after 75 or more rushes

Now that most area football teams have played six or seven games, it's pretty amazing when a player can average more than 10 yards per carry.

After 15 or 20 carries, sure, there are going to be some guys averaging double digits. Break a couple of long runs and those will keep the average in gaudy territory. But after close to 100 attempts?

That is clearly a player who's a threat to break a long run on every carry.

Here are the four Dallas-area players who have rushed the ball at least 75 times and are still averaging more than 10 yards per carry.

Corey Avery, Carter 90 rushes, 1,060 yards, 11 TDs (11.8 yards per carry)Ronald Jones, McKinney North 98 carries, 1,105 yards, 20 TDs (11.3 yards per carry)Desmon White, DeSoto 77 carries, 803 yards, 10 TDs (10.4 yards per carry)Ta'Varius Luke, North Mesquite 94 carries, 966 yards, 9 TDs (10.3 yards per carry)
