The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools just released its 2014-16 provisional alignments.
Although it doesn't carry the buzz of UIL realignment day - with many more public-school teams moving classifications and districts - the TAPPS announcement does come with some intrigue.
One of the biggest alterations is that TAPPS Division I District I - currently composed of all D/FW-area teams - will have a significant addition in football: 2012 TAPPS Division II champion Midland Christian.
The addition of Midland Christian (5-0 in D2 this season) will raise the difficulty of Division I District I, already the most difficult private-school district in the state.
Midland Christian will stay inClass 4A in all other sports, however, in a district with six D/FW area teams and Lubbock Trinity Christian.
Also of interest, Flower Mound Coram Deo and Frisco Legacy Christian will move up from Division III to II in football.
Here are the new provisional alignments from TAPPS.
