Mansfield Legacy RB Kijana Amous expected to return vs. Lancaster next week

Mansfield Legacy running back Kijana Amous missed last weekend's 31-0 victory against Bryan Adams with joint stiffness, Legacy coach Chris Melson said Tuesday.

Melson said Amous should be ready to go for Legacy's next game against Lancaster on Sept. 26.

"He's had some stiffness in a couple joints and we just wanted to rest him if we could," Melson said.

Amous has rushed for 352 yards on 48 carries this season. He's also scored eight rushing touchdowns. The senior, who holds an offer from New Mexico State, rushed for 1,002 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2012.
