Lancaster, Colleyville Heritage, Jesuit back on track after Week 2 wins
A trio of teams that won playoff games in 2012 got sorely needed victories this weekend.
Lancaster, Colleyville Heritage and Jesuit were a combined 0-6 after the first two weeks of the season.
Lancaster, which reached the Class 4A Division II state finals, defeated Kimball, 40-2. Jesuit defeated Houston Strake Jesuit, 35-13, and Heritage beat Flower Mound, 45-7.
All three teams are likely to be playoff contenders again this season, and there's still plenty to like about their chances moving forward.
Jesuit and Heritage have two of the best passing offenses in the area. Jesuit is throwing for 294 yards per game behind quarterback Bo Schneider, and Heritage is just shy of 300 passing yards per game with QB Griffin Pickler.
Lancaster's greatest strength is its defense, which seems to have found its form after allowing just two points to Kimball.
